Full technical details won’t be revealed until EICMA in two weeks but here’s what we know so far. The 4Ride uses the same 259cc liquid-cooled Single powering the Montesa Cota 4RT260 trials bike. The frame also appears to be identical to the 4RT260’s. Because of the distinctive shape of a trials machine, this frame creates room under the 4Ride’s seat. Montesa turned this space into a storage area, claiming it has enough room for a light jacket.
The downside to the storage area is that Montesa could have used that space to enlarge the fuel tank. The 4Ride’s fuel tank holds 1.2 gallons, tiny for street bike standards but larger in comparison to the half-gallon tank on the trials bike. Montesa says it’s enough to offer a range of about 75 miles.
We’ll have more details about the Montesa 4Ride as well as other new model announcements as we approach EICMA which kicks off Nov. 16.Share:
